Andy Campbell
Revit Technician

Local boy Andy moved from IT early on in his career to teach himself to be a CAD draughtsman.

Thereafter, achieving National Certificate in Building Studies and Higher National Certificate in Civil Engineering have seen him make important steps towards membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers.

Already his experience covers a wide spectrum of projects in size and cost, covering structural design involving steel, timber, concrete and masonry all up to specific codes. In addition, Andy brings a new perspective to a miscellany of one-off briefs including golf towers, aluminium structures and temporary exhibition stands.

Andy’s recent work on a residential property is a case in point. Faced with a large amount of drainage works around which the foundations needed to be arranged, Building Information Modelling was recommended as a solution. Though rarely used in this context, this innovative approach helped the client achieve a cost-effective build without any difficulties.

Unusual problem. Innovative approach. Effective solutions.
